Nanyang Polytechnic Students Intern at Zwick

After settling into the industrial city of Ulm, two interns from Nanyang Polytechnic’s Diploma in Digital and Precision Engineering program, Choi Woi Hong and Gao Yongfei, hit the ground running. Working closely with Zwick’s manufacturing and assembly teams in Germany, they have impressed their mentors with their technical knowledge, ability to learn new things, politeness, and teamwork qualities.

They have learned to prepare for future challenges in any context or situation and build confidence necessary to be effective and productive employees in the future. “The internship has prepared us for a real life working environment and enabled us to acquire positive working attitudes towards any difficulties that we have faced.” said Choi Woi Hong.

The three-month internship at Zwick Roell in Ulm provided the Singapore-based interns and German mentors to exchange ideas during the assembly of a Universal Testing Machine and on a team-building course. “Hosting Woi Hong and Yongfei is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and get a personal feel of Asian cultures.” Program Coordinator Dirk Witrahm said.

Wherever they end up in their careers after graduating from Nanyang Polytechnic, Zwick is glad to have been part of their growth and to have reinforced their academic endeavors.
