Zwick Roell Establishes an Important Vibrophore Reference in South Korea

One of the Korea’s largest steel producers has ordered a new 250 kN Vibrophore from Zwick Roell for its R&D laboratory. The Vibrophore is equipped with Body-over-Wedge specimen grips for tests on flat specimens, together with grips for tests on connecting rods and crankshafts. It is one of the most important references from the new range of Vibrophores to be installed in South Korea.

The new Vibrophore will primarily be used for fatigue tests on engine components such as connecting rods or crankshafts. Key factors in the decision to acquire the new Vibrophore include the high testing frequency and associated high specimen throughput. The decision-makers were also impressed by Zwick Roell's unique alignment solution (including alignment software). As well as fatigue tests, the Vibrophore will also be deployed for static tensile tests.
